The Logo
Ferrari’s Prancing Horse traces back to Francesco Baracca, an Italian World War I flying ace who used the black horse symbol on his aircraft. Enzo Ferrari later adopted the horse after Baracca’s family suggested it as a good-luck symbol. Ferrari added the yellow background as a reference to Modena, Enzo’s hometown, and the emblem became one of the most powerful symbols in automotive history.
